MICROSOFT “DO More with Less” messaging toolkit

In 2023, we created the expansive “do more with less” campaign to address macroeconomic headwinds and encourage organizations to get more out of their existing Microsoft tech stacks rather than investing in one-off point solutions.

I oversaw all copy efforts, developing a toolkit of ready-to-use language across 13 lines of business that ensured brand alignment, consistent storytelling, and legal compliance for Microsoft's entire commercial portfolio. The toolkit was used to create B2B copy at scale across dozens of emails, web pages, internal field kits, partner enablement materials, and other communications.

Our approach resonated. Despite global financial uncertainties, the Microsoft Cloud tech stack generated $28.5 billion in revenue in the 3rd quarter of FY23, followed by $30.3 billion in the 4th quarter, representing year over year increases of 22% and 21% respectively. I received a Microsoft Cloud Marketing SNAP Award for Growth for my work on the campaign.

Here’s an under-the-hood look at the toolkit itself. It’s a prime example of my ability to drive enterprise direction while working with a wide array of stakeholders and inputs. It also highlights my capacity to get the tiniest details right while never losing sight, or control, of the big-picture narrative.
